As the name implies, it is a plastic flame retardant that can pass fire and flame retardant. In our daily life, we often hear the term "flame retardant", but the understanding of flame retardant mostly stays at the level of "fire prevention", but the principle of fire prevention is not very clear.
1. Provide a layer of oxygen-insulated coating, such as phosphide formed during combustion of phosphate flame retardants, which is oxygen-insulated coating.
2. Formation of free radicals which can react with plastics and play a flame retardant role. Their combustion performance with the reaction products of plastics is very poor.
3. Absorbing the heat generated during combustion can slow down the burning rate by cooling. For example, aluminium hydroxide, whose molecule contains 34% of the chemical association water, which remains stable at most plastic processing temperatures, but begins to decompose at temperatures higher than 200 degrees C, releasing water vapor, and absorbs 36 kilocalories per gram of molecule aluminium hydroxide decomposed.
4. To produce a gas that can smother the flame, such as antimony trioxide. When it meets HCL from combustion in pvc, it reacts to produce a smothering gas, i.e. antimony nitrogen oxide.
The plastics flame retardant is not only fire retardant, but also can produce many substances, and ultimately achieve the purpose of preventing plastics from burning.
