Special engineering plastics refer to engineering plastics that can be used for a long time under conditions above 150 C, such as polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyimide (PIM), polyether ether ketone (PEEK), polysulfone (PSF) and other special engineering plastics. Special engineering plastics generally have good electrical properties, high temperature resistance and dimensional stability, and some also have good flame retardancy, radioactivity resistance, chemical resistance and mechanical properties. Therefore, it is widely used in high-tech, military, aerospace, aviation and other industries. But one thing is that the market price of special engineering plastics is often several times that of ordinary engineering plastics. It is acceptable in military products. For civil products, it is necessary to maintain its high performance and relatively low price.
Modified plastics industry is a typical industry benefiting from technological progress and consumption upgrading.
